Marine & Subsea

PSG in the Sea

Why choose us for your Marine and Subsea components?

In subsea environments, components are under attack from saltwater, cold temperature, and high pressure when fully submerged. We offer several materials that give a high degradation resistance while maintaining the required compressive strength and mechanical properties.

However, in a marine environment, components may only be partially submerged, which means they will also need to protect against damage from sunlight, which can weaken materials over time. We also need to factor in thermal expansion and contraction from a component submerged in the cold seawater then exposed to hot sunlight.

How do we help our clients?

Selecting the correct material for your subsea application can be challenging but, with decades of experience in subsea and marine applications, our technicians are ideally placed to share their knowledge with your engineers.

Reliability is paramount when components are required to operate in the world’s harshest and most hostile environments, particularly in subsea installations, where unplanned maintenance is a complex and hazardous activity to undertake. Having worked with many of the world’s largest oil and gas and naval organisations, we understand the challenges our products have to overcome.
